Proud to Be Rainbow Registered

Rainbow Registered Logo

As the first - and currently the only - whale watching company in Canada to receive the Rainbow Registered accreditation from Canada’s 2SLGBTQIA+ Chamber of Commerce, we uphold rigorous standards for inclusivity and actively support the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. This accreditation is a testament to our ongoing commitment to creating a welcoming and respectful space for all.

Our Commitment to Inclusivity

We actively support the right of all staff and visitors to feel safe and to wholeheartedly enjoy their time with us, free from harassment, abuse, and discrimination. Individuals who exhibit inappropriate conduct towards staff or anyone else are not welcome at Campbell River Whale Watching. We actively work to educate our staff and guests on the importance of diversity.

Creating Safe Spaces

Campbell River Whale Watching is committed to fostering a culture of respect and inclusivity in every aspect of our operations. Our goal is to ensure that our facilities, services, and interactions are accessible and affirming for everyone.

Our Involvement with North Island Pride

Every June, Campbell River Whale Watching hosts an annual PRIDE cruise in conjunction with North Island Pride celebrations. This special event not only underscores our commitment to inclusivity but also serves as a fundraiser, with all proceeds supporting North Island Pride initiatives. We also provide paid volunteers for North Island Pride events for their annual Pride celebrations in Campbell River. Keep an eye on our social media channels for announcements about our next PRIDE cruise and join us in celebrating diversity and unity within our community.

We are a proud Access2 venue

We strive to accommodate every person who dreams of joining us on a tour. However, given the nature of our location and functionality of our boats it can sometimes be difficult.

Persons with disabilities and/or their carers are encouraged to call our office to see if we are able to accommodate their special needs. We will actively work to understand and remove barriers to accessibility within our operations wherever feasible.

Have an Access2 card? Let us know at your time of booking.
