What Sets us apart
Founded in 2008 Campbell River Whale Watching and Adventure Tours continues to be a leader in our industry. Below are just a few of the things that we believe set us apart:
Sustainability
Throughout all our operations we aim to minimize our environmental impact. Not only are our guides expert mariners, they are also certified naturalists. We believe that education and showcasing responsible wildlife viewing behaviours are key components of operating as a sustainable organization. We make continuous efforts to adapt and make ethical business decisions. To learn more check out our sustainability page
Code Of Conduct
In 2019 we partnered with another Campbell River company to formalize a Whale Watching Code of Conduct. This conduct, signed by everyone of our guides, goes above and beyond federal regulations to demonstrate our commitment to the well being of these magnificent animals.
Carbon Neutral
We were the first tourism company in Campbell River to be certified Carbon Neutral. Each year, since 2018 we undergo an extensive audit of our carbon usage and off set through the protection of old growth forest in the Toba River Valley. We protect at least 1m2 of forest for each guest who joins us.
NIMMSA North Island Marine Mammal Stewardship Association
Campbell River Whale Watching and Adventure Tours is committed to responsible wildlife viewing practices and is an active member of the North Island Marine Mammal Stewardship Association on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
