Photography Equipment Recommendations:
Since we'll be spending a significant amount of time photographing from boats, we recommend a portable, hand-held setup for maximum flexibility. For wildlife photography, a DSLR or mirrorless camera paired with a telephoto lens of at least 100-400mm or 200-600mm is ideal to capture sharp, detailed images. Longer focal lengths are essential for photographing distant wildlife, such as whales.
While the grizzly bears often come within a few meters of the viewing platforms, a wide-angle lens can also be useful for close-up shots.
If possible, we also recommend bringing a laptop with Lightroom and Photoshop installed to follow along with the editing process. While not mandatory, it will allow you to practice your skills and get personalized guidance during the workshop.
